A day in the life of a 9 month old...

Wow.  Where have these last 9 months gone!?!  She is growing so quickly!!  Today was her well-baby visit for a 9 month check-up.

love her!

All of this visit I missed! I am soooo sadden that I was silly enough to lock my keys in Matt's car at work...so I couldn't get to the visit, even though it was only 3 minutes from the school!!!  Matt did awesome with her, snuggling and making all better when she got her shots, but I am still bummed that I missed it- not because of work, but because of my absentmindedness.  Boo.

Belle after her visit with the doctor

Here are the stats:
Height: 28 1/4 (72%)
Weight: 16 pounds 3.8 oz (8 %)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 (63%)

She lost some weight (percentage wise) since the last visit.  The doctor didn't seem concerned, since she has always been really low, but he said if we were worried, that we could give her some pedia-sure drinks to help out.  I will check in to those here very soon- not that I want a porker, but I worry she isn't gaining enough (consistency) now that she is so active.

Ouch.  Why did you just poke my toe???

Here a little glimpse into her life and to answer a few of those persistent questions we are asked frequently.

Is she sleeping at night?
Yes.  She goes to sleep between 6-7 and wakes up at 6:45 when I get her up.

What is she eating?
She eats cereal, fruit, beans, lentils, squash, mashed potatoes, chicken.  She does not like carrots.   They confuse her now that she eats squash (expecting sweet, getting blah). Snack puffs on occasion.  She likes grape juice- does not like pear juice- although it is fun to give her a sip of pear and watch her "sour" face. :)  Yogurt is the newest food she is eating (so far she likes it).

What does she "do" now?
She crawls like a champ now and she also pulls herself up, zooms around the house in her walker, stands by herself on occasion for about 3-4 seconds (followed by a plop on the floor).  She waves "hi" and "bye" and howls like the dogs (ahhhooooo!) on her own and at our prompting.  By the way, I am pretty sure it is a lot more fascinating and exciting to hear her howl like the dogs than it is to try and get her to do "mama" or "dada".....does that make us weird?  If so, awesome. :)

Well that is about all I can think of at this point- I am sure there are more questions you guys want answered- if so, message me and I will be sure to include it in the update. :)

Be  Blessed.
